This item was a little tricky to put together as other reviews stated. That said, I was able to assemble by myself in a little over an hour. An electric screwdriver was key to this success. One warning to those assembling.... be aware of the front side and back sides of all of the main pieces. I did need to unscrew the bottom shelf, flip it around and re screw it because I missed that one. Great piece for the money, quite heavy . Fits my new 50 inch tv nicely with it on top. Shelves below hold the nintendo switch stuff, some books and board games perfectly. Highly recommended if on a budget! Nice rustic grey color with barn like grainThis is the second time I have reached out.I did not receive my remote to my electric fireplace. How do I get one?Good price, sturdy, easy to put together.Okay, looking back this might be one of those times it is worth paying for expert assembly. This was a pain is the @$$ to put together for two people - the instructions were questionable with pictures that were unclear which direction the pieces were facing. If you’re going to assemble it yourself, I highly recommend reading the whole way through so you can see what’s coming and hopefully save yourself having to take apart and re-do any steps!Besides that, love, love, love. The fireplace feature is beautiful. It’s an extra bonus that it functions as a heater. It’s such a beautiful piece I’m tempted to get something similar for another room in the house (with expert assembly lol)One if the front pieces came cracked. it was more cosmetic than structural and I was in a time crunch so we kept it.This stand is better than I expected. It’s very solid (I think 75lbs?) and sturdy. I recommend a drill to put this together, it went considerably faster once I started using it. Directions recommended two people to put it together but I was able to it alone fairly easily. The box looked a little rough when it was delivered but it’s packaged very well so there was no damage. The TV in the picture is 50” for reference. If your thinking about getting this, do it.To this TV stand’s credit, it is sturdy and it looks nice at a distance. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do, which is hold the TV up. My example arrived with a crushed corner and a couple other dents in the top. That’s not the piece’s fault, but it speaks to the fragility of it considering neither the box nor the packing materials were damaged. If you want something that will hold up under the onslaught of pets or children or general clumsiness, then some other TV stand is the way to go.I am basically using the fireplace when is getting a bit cold in the basement. Also you can use the fireplace without the heating function.
