It looks really good, and doesn't look like furniture that you put together yourself usually does. I'll also mention that the package was originally received without any of the hardware (small pieces like connectors), but Amazon took care of that and replaced the item without any problem. Really a nice quality piece of furniture that I feel confident putting an expensive television on.I decided not to put the back on because I might have to turn it around due to scratches :/When this shipped the box was in rough shape and it did not come with any hardware. It looks great and is quite sturdy! Was completely protected from shipping damage, which often isn't the case with this type of self-assembly furniture. There were no smashed corners, dents, scratches, etc. All the parts and hardware were included and the instructions were clear. It took me about 2 hours and 45 minutes to assemble it by myself, so it can definitely be done by one person. You will need to have a Phillips screwdriver available, but everything else you need is in the box. Comes with slider feet for the unit so it's easy to move once assembled. Good value too! Looks much more expensive than it is.This TV stand was a pleasant surprise. It is made very well, with heavier, better quality pieces than your standard Ikea shelving units. It looks great, and the cube design is really nice in that it is off-centered and gives a good detail (not your standard boring cubes). Once put together it's a good quality item. However, be prepared to spend time putting it together because it comes with a lot of hardware. For the beginner, you may need a bit of help. For anyone who has put furniture together before, just be prepared to have bags of screws. Having said that, it is well worth the time and effort. Easy enough to do, just takes a bit of time. The wood pieces arrived with no damage, painted perfectly (black) and no flaws. The design has a "lip" around the bottom so that the shelves do not sit directly on the floor (a very nice design detail!). Overall a 5 star shelf. Good item for the price.
