I agree with Frank's two star review, after buying the King size set.Much of my set also needed finishing like, caulking, cleaning, minor adjustments, etc. I however find the value to be quite good - if you look at it as a mostly completed DIY job and not a finished product. I also feel that solid wood anything is hard to find these days and I place a higher value on this set because of that.If this set was done by true craftspeople and shipped ready for generational hand-me-downs, it'd cost North of $5000.I actually assumed it'd be worse than it was and for the price, I'm happy with what I got... Franks assessment is dead on accurate however.4 stars from me instead of Frank's 2. It's up to you to decide how much work you're expecting ;)*Packaging took longer to remove than assembly (minor), nothing came damaged in any way from shipping.*Off gassing was smelly and strong - I suggest letting it air out for 3 - 5 days before you put in your house.*Some screw holes are visible in the bed's feet - add some screw hole covers to your shopping list to help hide them.*My bed frame's horizontal slates were WAY to small, however I needed my own frame for my foam mattress and that frame fit just inside the decorative Roundhill frame - once I notched a hidden spot for the middle leg of my frame.*The hardware is forgettable and I'll be replacing mine, once I care enough to go through the effort.* It came with a warning about sawdust exposure but mentioned nothing of the off-gassing smell.Final Note: The king size doesn't come with two end tables, I had to find one separately (Walmart had the best price at the time, w/ free 2 day).UPDATING ORIGINAL REVIEW: Good bedrrom set BUT with one major problem - THE wrong bed side rails and slates were shipped!Ordered the panel bed set shown here and got all of it except for One box of parts for the poster bed set of rails/slats and part #. Not the correct one for the panel bed ordered. Didn't realize it till the old bed was already removed and new bed almost fully assembled. That's why this review just dropped from 5 to only 3 stars.Solid wood, well made and well packaged so set arrived in pristine shape. Nice, slightly off white 5 piece queen bedroom set. Good quality painting on all visible areas with smooth sliding drawers, some even felt. Not cheap looking but solid with nice brushed nickel handles I didn't notice in the picture but perfect as they match my bedroom/bathroom hardware and fixtures. Excellent on time delivery service with very helpful and courteous driver too.Good value at ~$1200 *IF* all the right pieces had arrived.Solid bed frame with metal hooks to tie bed frame side boards to head and foot boards. 3 real wood slates from wrong poster bed vs. 9 slate bundle for the panel bed still fit though so kept them vs. having an unassembled bed until replacement. It does mean the mattress is lower than it should be as the poster bed rails are about 5" below where they would be on the panel bed so I kept the box spring on bed too. Also has 3 additional small vertical supports that screw under the middle of queen bed frame into the slats for more support.Good bedroom set but shame I didn't get all the correct pieces in the 5 boxes. I will not likely order furniture on line again even though the set does look nice with no other assembly issues and I did get a quick answer from customer service on how to remove the dresser drawers. This set looks good but is not good quality. Drawer slides are cheap. In the dresser I had to shim and adjust the height of the drawer slides in order for the drawers to close. The nightstand had been dropped in transit and was broke. There was overspray one the paint where the manufacturer had obviously done a repair.Looks absolutely lovely! It’s perfect for my teenage son’s room. Straight lines make it more masculine. I’m so happy with the purchase!Beautiful set. Nicer than I expected. My daughter LOVES this set!You give me some heat board different color
